(SPOT.ph) It's important to keep yourself hydrated, especially during the summer or dry season. And while water is important, you can also hydrate in other ways. Starbucks, for one, is giving you chocolatey new ways to keep that thirst quenched.
Starbucks Philippines has launched new seasonal drinks and eats on the menu starting today, April 18. Since we're knee-deep into the months of summer—which we're sure everyone is complaining about—the coffee shop launched five special drinks as part of their Summer 1 collection.

Meet the five new drinks Starbucks Philippines launched this summer:
Three of the five newly-launched drinks have one unifying ingredient: Belgium chocolate. In all three drinks, the premium chocolate is used as a sauce to add instant, stirrable sweetness, or as shavings to add texture.
First off, there's the indulgent Belgium Chocolate Latte (P190/Tall, P205/Grande, P220/Venti, available hot or iced). This drink is made with the café's signature Coffee Frappuccino as its base and is made decadent with the added Belgium Chocolate sauce, chocolate crushed shells, chocolate whipped cream, and mocha sauce. The Belgium Chocolate Frappuccino (P190/Tall, P205/Grande, P220/Venti) is a cream-based drink that blends together ice, chocolate sauce, coffee, and chocolate shavings, then topped with chocolate whipped cream and shavings. The last and the simplest of the three chocolatey drinks is the Belgium Chocolate Nitro Cold Brew (P210/Tall, P225/Grande). This drink uses cold brew, topped off with a cloud of chocolate cream, and a sprinkle of Belgium chocolate shavings on top.
Just as refreshing but on the fruitier side is the Okayama Peach Apple Cold Brew (P190/Tall, P205/Grande, P220/Venti) which has cold brew, lemonade, and peach apple syrup. Also try the Cantaloupe Cream Frappuccino (P190/Tall, P205/Grande, P220/Venti) which has a green melon powder on the bottom followed by melon slushie, then topped with whipped cream, cantaloupe drizzle, and melon chunks. This drink is created this way so as to resemble an actual cantaloupe!
For this round of new sips, Starbucks is also bringing back the Strawberry Acai with Lemonade and the Pink Drink with Strawberry Acaia as their new core drinks. Yes, this means the pink drink is no longer a seasonal drink, but a staple that won't be going away from the Starbucks menu moving forward.
Speaking of comebacks: the Oh My Cheesydila! (P125), a cheesy tortilla; and the Blackout Cake (P255), their extremely chocolatey and fudgy cake, are also returning this summer. If the nearest Starbucks to you is a Starbucks Reserve, the Palmier (P95) is a Reserve-exclusive cookie that you can pair with your cup of joe.
The new food items on the Starbucks menu are the Korean Sausage Flauta (P130) which is a bread stuffed with sausage, kimchi, and cheese; and the Apple Berry and Creme Cake (P220/slice, P1,760/whole) that's got layers of sponge cake topped with apple and blueberry filling, plus an oat-crumb coating.
The new Starbucks drinks and food items are available on the menu for a limited time. You can head to the nearest Starbucks or Starbucks Reserve to try these out, or if you don't want to go out in this heat, you can order it for delivery through GrabFood and foodpanda.
