(SPOT.ph) One of the pains of working in BGC is quenching your daily much-needed coffee fix without it costing an arm and leg. But maybe you've manifested hard enough that the ancient principle of the law of attraction has finally done its magic, and the universe finally opened a door—specifically the door of Manifesto. This new café-restaurant-bar in BGC's neighborhood serves affordable coffee, with nothing beyond P200.

Check out Manifesto, the new café, restaurant, and bar in BGC:

Does Manifesto sound familiar? The first branch opened in Makati City during the pandemic, but the new branch is a little more laid-back compared to its predecessor. The BGC restaurant has industrial interiors with a touch of chic applied to its red velvet stools, gold accents shelves and mirrors, and combination of marble and dark wood on the surfaces. A few plants are scattered inside the establishment to give it life.

It's hard to miss Manifesto's bar—how could you, when it's right by the entrance! While your eyes may linger a little longer on the suspended liquor display, remember that you're here for the coffee. You can drink the cocktails after work hours since they do close late even on weekdays, but for now, look right below it and you'll sight the coffee machines where they prepare all their caffeinated drinks from their menu.

Are you notorious for being a Grumpy Gus in the office before you've had your first cup of coffee? Manifesto is great for coffee fixes since they open early, so you can go back to normal programming before you clock in at work. Manifesto is still open even when you need a second cup of joe for days you need to O.T.

But aside from that, the prices are incredibly reasonable given that, 1. It's a new café, and 2. It's in the busier area of the financial business district. All their caffeinated drinks, hot or iced, are below P200 (at base price).

Their hot coffee includes a Ristretto (P110), Espresso (P110), Espresso Romano (P135), Long Black (P150), Macchiato (P140), Cappuccino (P160), Café Latte (P170), Cafe Bicerin (P175), Piccolo Latte (P135), Mochaccino (P160), French Press Coffee (P170), Vietnamese Coffee (P170), and the highly-recommended Flat White (P170). Even the Affogato doesn't reach P200; this coffee-ice cream combination only costs P195.

If you're the type of coffee drinker who likes it iced or cold, the café's iced coffee selection isn't that extensive but it does have interesting items. For something simple, they have Iced Coffee (P150) but the rest are all fun drinks, such as Lemon Coffee (P150), Sparkling Coffee (P175), Vietnamese Coffee (P170), and Café Shakerato (P195).

Manifesto's food menu is the same as the menu from their Makati branch: It highlights a cuisine that merges elements from different parts of the world. What stands out on the menu description-wise, and taste-wise is the Wagyu Pizza (P595). At first bite, this pizza tastes like a combination of the flavors of Mexico but using Wagyu from Japan, and the technique of Italy.

Manifesto's Wagyu Pizza is a thin-crust pizza with lots of cheese on top and it's made palatable with the added diced tomatoes, onions, and bits of Wagyu on top. It's served with tartar sauce which adds more sweetness and a bit of tartness to the pizza.

Almost everything on the menu is the same as that in Makati, but four bar-chow dishes on the menu haven't crossed to the other city's menu—at least not yet. Those four dishes are the Cheese Platter (P775) which has brie, blue cheese, Manchego, pecorino, and crackers that go with a cocktail or wine; the Crispy Pork Knucles (P1,195) which can be likened to our crispy pata; Salted Egg Shrimp (P895) which tosses the shrimp in savory and tangy sauce; and the Shrimp Gambas (P755) which cooks huge shrimps in garlic-infused olive oil to give it that deep flavor, and with added paprika and chili for heat.

For dessert, Manifesto's Salted Caramel Cake (P168) sticks to the textbook definition of flavor. It's a simple chiffon cake that's dense but also crumbly, and the caramel coating is salted just right so that it's not cloying.

So, not only have you manifested an affordable coffee place near your workplace or living quarters, but you've manifested a great place to grab food to go with your drink.
