SPOTTED: Looks Like South Korea's NeNe Chicken Is Opening Its First PH Branch in Makati
Another place to bookmark for your K-fried chicken cravings!
(SPOT.ph) South Korea's relationship with fried chicken is at a level that's almost unparalleled. We've all seen their famous fried chicken brands like BBQ Chicken and KyoChon which already have made their way to our shores (and expanded fast)—and yet another popular Korean fried chicken joint is opening in the Metro. Soon in Makati City, NeNe Chicken is opening its first store in the Philippines.

Here's where South Korea's NeNe Chicken is opening in the Philippines:
NeNe Chicken is opening its first store at One Ayala, the new transport hub-slash-mall in Makati City (right beside Ayala MRT Station). We spotted the board up near the main entrance, with the promise that it would open by July 2023. It's also posted on their official Instagram account that it's slated to open by July this year.
We saw the board up earlier this September, and the store was not open yet. The store was hidden behind tarpaulins with the "freaking good chicken" printed all over it. Alas, it looks like there are delays to the opening. For now, we can wait a little longer and cross our fingers a little tighter in the hopes that it will open to the public soon.
Who is NeNe Chicken?
NeNe, which translates to "Yes! Yes!" in Korean, is a Korean fried chicken restaurant that started back in 1999 and has, since then, grown to over 1,000 stores worldwide. NBD, NeNe Chicken's previous ambassadors are none other than the biggest stars in South Korea: Yoo Jae Suk, T-ara, SEVENTEEN, and NU'EST W.
If the Philippines gets the same NeNe Chicken dishes as the ones in Korea, we can expect specials like Hot Cheese Rice Cake Fried Chicken, Cheese Snowing Fried Chicken, Captain Chili Fried Chicken, Potato Garlic Chicken, and Cheesy Fondue Fried Chicken.
