(SPOT.ph) Within the Japanese food sphere are two headliners with their own distinct appeal: ramen, the noodle soup that warms the stomach on cold nights; and yakiniku, or meat that's grilled over an iron plate or grill on the table. And though these are distinct dishes (typically with distinct restaurants dedicated to them), they'll be crossing over worlds as Ippudo is bringing out a must-try Yakiniku Ramen available for a limited time, starting Monday, February 19!

Here's the deal on Ippudo's new Yakiniku Ramen:
Ippudo’s bringing yakiniku fun to their ramen line with their limited-edition Yakiniku Ramen and, to go with it, the Yakiniku Bun. The ramen gets a meaty upgrade with thin slices of pork tossed in teriyaki and spicy miso sauce—along with Ippudo's 15-hour pork bone broth, Hakata-style noodles, koyu oil, nori, and a runny egg. In between slurps you can take a big bite of the bun, filled with beef slices marinated in bulgogi and spicy miso sauces.
These items will only be available from February 19 to April 30—run, don't walk! And if you need more buns, hun, don't hesitate to get a Trio Bun Set, which includes Ippudo's signature Pork Bun, Fried Chicken Bun, and the new Yakiniku Bun in one package.
Ippudo was established by Shigemi Kawahara in Hakata, Japan in 1985. They arrived in our shores in 2014, and won over the Filipino audience with their hearty and rich-tasting ramen bowls. On the other hand, Yabu is a tonkatsu restaurant that opened in 2011, helmed by Chef Kazuya Takeda of Tonkatsu Takeshin—a.k.a. one of the best tonkatsu restaurants in Tokyo.

UPDATE (February 19, 2024, 12:28 p.m.): The last day the yakiniku specials will be available is April 30 and not 19 as was originally stated in this article. This has been corrected.
