Go from Bagnet to Champorado, and a whole lot more, all in one place.
(SPOT.ph) Have you ever wanted access to batirol, bagnet, crispy kangkong, pastillas, pure honey, fresh suha, sansrival, tapa, coconut pie, and a whole lot more, all in just one place? Then head on over the DTI-Bagong Pilipinas National Food Fair where you can hop from region to region just by walking from one stall to the next. Yup, the 10th edition of the massive food fair opened today at the Megatrade Halls of SM Megamall today, July 3, and they'll be there until Sunday, July 7. Don't forget to bring huge eco bags, your wallet, an empty stomach, and lots of self-control, especially where all the free-taste opportunities are concerned. Just because you can go from honey mead to Vigan empanada to champorado in one place doesn't mean you should, as this writer learned firsthand.

Great finds at the DTI Food Fair 2024
The food fair occupies the entire Megatrade center, sprawling across all three of its halls on the fifth floor of SM Megamall. Entrance, which is free, is right at the center hall. The exhibitors are on each side of the massive hall, with a stage at the center. There are also different sections showcasing different facets of the Philippine food industry scattered around; this include the Fresh Produce Pavilion of the Department of Agriculture right by the entrance, the Philippine Coffee Pavilion, the Coconut Industry Pavilion and more.
Each stall contains a number, the vendor's name, and where the products are from. You'll find regional specialties from all over, whether they're fresh produce, processed or frozen, snacks, drinks, or more. And don't worry, if you go to the leftmost-side upon entering, you'll find an area with tables and chairs surrounded by stalls that sell ready-to-eat specialties.
We scoured the rows and rows of goods from across the Philippines and found a lot of classics like dried fish, sauces, sweets, and more. We also saw a few handicrafts here and there. Check out below the more unique finds we saw that showcase what our food industry is capable of.
