(SPOT.ph) Japanese food has a special place in the Filipino stomach. Think warm, savory bowls of ramen, melt-in-your-mouth sashimi, and hearty rice bowls. Of the slew of restaurants specializing in the cuisine locally is Nikkei, which mainly takes on Japanese-Peruvian fare but also has a Nama Bar and Robata leg—and they're not done yet. The brand is opening a new location in Taguig, and it's not just any other branch. Here's what you can expect at the soon-to-open DEN by Nikkei in Taguig.

Here's what to expect at DEN by Nikkei in Taguig:
Walking around Forbestown Road in Taguig City, you might have noticed a wooden storefront with a tropical-inspired design bearing the branding DEN by Nikkei. If you haven't guessed it yet, this is a new concept from the Japanese chain.
DEN by Nikkei is the brand's upscale izakaya-style outlet. It'll be serving a mix of traditional and modern Japanese pub-style food, primarily focusing on premium steaks, Wagyu beef, and fresh sushi and sashimi.
But aside from having bangin' eats, DEN by Nikkei will also feature an extensive selection of sake, Japanese beers, and sake-based cocktails, making this soon-to-open izakaya the perfect spot for both pre-gaming and a nightcap.
Before you go running to Forbestown tonight, you should know that DEN by Nikkei isn't open to the public yet. This new concept is slated to open this July. When it opens, you can head over spontaneously or with reservations from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Sundays to Thursdays and from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
DEN by Nikkei will be at Forbestown Road, Taguig City. For more information, visit Nikkei's Instagram page.
