Cibo Celebrates Their 27th Year With P27 Pasta, Merch + More

(SPOT.ph) Some things in the world are just always reliable for whatever reason or occasion. In the context of dining spots, you've got Cibo—the Chef Margarita Forés-owned restaurant chain known for its great-quality pasta, pizza, and other casual Italian fare, conveniently with outposts at popular malls in the Metro. Cibo turns 27 this year—time flies wild, we know—and in celebration of their anniversary they've got plenty in store for their diners, including can't-be-missed discounts and exclusive merch!

Cibo 27th anniversary deals and more

In a media anniversary event, Forés admits she "really didn't know what she was doing" when she first opened Cibo. "I really just wanted to cook with you guys and share whatever I learned from Italy with the Philippines. Who would've thought it'd be able to grow this much in 27 years?" Grow they did, as the brand now has more than 20 branches across Metro Manila plus outposts in Cebu and Bacolod.

Cibo's regulars continue to go back for their consistently al-dente pasta; pizzas with simple but high-quality toppings that make for memorable bites; salads and sandwiches brimming with fresh ingredients; meaty mains; and more—all as conducive to refueling post-shop sesh at the mall as they are for a casual date. And in celebration of their 27th year since debuting in 1997, Cibo's got special deals you don't want to miss this August and in the coming months.

For starters, you'll want to mark these dates on your calendar to score uber-limited exclusive discounts. On August 22, you can get any Cibo pasta dish for P27 with every purchase of their Piatti di Marghi (main dishes)—some of which are the Tagliata di Manzo (starts at P845), Osso Buco (starts at P845), and Trancio di Salmone (starts at P959). Come August 27, you can get a 27% discount on all food delivery orders placed via Cibo’s website and hotline (8891-1111)!

You can also get exclusive collab merchandise and Cibo gift cards through what's called the Cibo 27 List Stamp Card. You can get a stamp card with any purchase at participating Cibo stores; each has a list of tasks (ranging from following Cibo's social media pages, ordering selected fan-favorite dishes, and more) that each get you a stamp upon completion. You can then use those stamps to redeem these rewards:

• Eight stamps = one CIBO x Linya-Linya Tote Bag
• 17 stamps = one CIBO x Linya-Linya T-shirt
• 27 stamps = one exclusive CIBO x Hydro Flask bottle, and one raffle entry to be one of three winners of a lifetime’s worth of Cibo—that is, P5,000 worth of Cibo gift cards per month

You've got until September 30 to enter the Cibo-for-a-lifetime raffle, and November 29 to redeem your prizes.

Cibo is a homegrown restaurant serving Italian fare that was established in 1997, with Chef Margarita Fores at the helm. Their first-ever branch was an open-air café designed by Jorge Yulo, originally located at Glorietta 3; they moved to current Glorietta 4 home by 1998. To this day they're known for their pasta, pizza, and other Italian bites made with great-quality ingredients.
