(SPOT.ph) It's that time of the year again—and as it always goes on Christmas, more festive versions of our favorites are slowly making their debuts and comebacks. Take, for example, crinkles. We all know that these cake-like cookies are available all year round, but they're especially popular come the four-month-long Christmas season in the Philippines. And while a good chocolate crinkle never goes out of style, how's about going the extra mile with crinkles that are spiked with Jack Daniels, or tinged with peppermint, or flavored with purple yam? Guess what: Crumbs & Grubs is bringing back the holiday line of their ADB crinkles.

The famous and elusive ADB crinkles come in not-so-basic Christmas flavors

Just in case you didn't know: Crumbs and Grubs has been offering "ADB Crinkles" for quite some time now. This is a partnership with the former ADB Executive Chef who developed the dessert and continues to ensure to keep the recipe that made it famous over the years.

Now, if you've followed the ADB crinkles at the bank itself over the years, then you'd probably be familiar with their holiday flavors—which Crumbs & Grubs sells a version of today.

For the dessert lovers (slash the naughty ones) on your list, go for the Jack and Cherry Crinkles; these rich, deep dark chocolate crinkles come infused with Jack Daniel's Whisky (hence the age limit of 18+ years old and above) for added oomph. They're also finished with a cherry on top—not the BINI song, but a bright red dried cherry.

Then there's the Peppermint Crinkles, which are made especially for the brave supporters of the controversial mint-chocolate combination. Think of the ADB Crinkles—signature ooey-goeey dark chocolate goodness and all—but infused with mint and then topped with peppermint white chocolate for double the minty freshness. The current crinkles use Beryl's Mint & Bitter Chocolate which is recognizable for its embossed clover design.

The seasonal comeback of the Jack and Cherry Crinkles and Peppermint Crinkles happened simultaneously with the launch of a new flavor on Crumbs and Grubs' roster: Ube Crinkles. This is the first time purple-hued crinkles are introduced to the roster of crinkle flavors—and we were told this was all thanks to a friend who requested the flavor. It was an instant hit during its first week, which is the reason why it made it to its permanent offerings.

So imagine this: The same fudgy ADB Crinkles but it's purple and when you take a bite, there's a rich ube halaya in the center. Although not exactly part of the holiday flavors, it might as well be as it does feel like an early Christmas gift we'd want to order for ourselves or someone special who you know would not like getting (yet another) box of red velvet crinkles or fruitcake this holiday season.

How much are Crumbs and Grubs' ADB Crinkles?

Crumbs and Grubs' Ube Crinkles costs P1,100 for 24 pieces, while the Holiday Box costs P1,750 for 24 pieces of crinkles consisting of assorted flavors of Original, Caramel, Peppermint, and Jack and Cherry.

There are also slightly cheaper options for the Holiday Selection. The P1,500 box consists of 24 pieces of assorted flavors of Original and Peppermint, then there's a Holiday Selection that costs P1,700 and has 24 pieces of Original and Jack and Cherry.

You can order these through Crumbs and Grub's website—including the Original Chocolate Crinkles if that's really more your jam. Just take note that there are certain dates for dispatch.

For orders, visit Crumbs and Grub's website.
