Secret Menu: Yardstick’s New Drink Is for Sweet Coffee Lovers

That’s not just a Yardstick printed on the back of their barista's shirts and their über-cute merch—it’s practically a universal truth for us caffeine-dependent beings. So when someone hits you with “Want to grab a coffee?,” it’s already tough to say no as it is, and even tougher when it’s an invite specific to Yardstick.
But here’s the hardest situation to say no to: a secret, off-menu, IYKYK Yardstick drink—appropriately named the #IYKYK Latte. This isn't just some branch-exclusive drink that anyone can just order. No, this is a limited-edition drink, available only through Secret Menu—a collab between SPOT.ph and Esquire, featuring exclusive dishes and drinks from Makati’s top restaurants and cafés that you can only avail if you own a UnionBank credit card.

Move over, coffee snobs: Yardstick's new off-menu drink is for those who like it sweet
The IYKYK drink totally understands the Secret Menu branding—it really is an “if you know, you know” type of drink, one that calls to those who love their coffee with a touch of sweetness. "Everybody is familiar with our coffee [at Yardstick] being more on the stronger side, so we wanted to offer something sweeter," says Abigail Dinaya, Retail Marketing Specialist.
What makes it sweet? Well, the #IYKYK Latte combines espresso, oat milk, and hazelnut and vanilla syrups. Before you roll your eyes, yes, we do understand it looks like a cloyingly sweet drink just by its description, but we want to assure you that Yardstick did some sorcery on this drink and somehow made it balanced. You can still appreciate the chocolatey profile of the espresso shot, the nuttiness that comes from the hazelnut syrup and the oat milk in every sip—after you've stirred the layered drink, of course.
If you want something to eat with your #IYKYK Latte, you can go for something savory like the Baristas Breakfast (P590), which has eggs, sourdough, bacon, franks, mushrooms, and tomatoes. You can also lean into the sweet-nutty combination and pair it with a slice of Pistachio Sansrival (P240).
Priced at P220, the #IYKYK Latte is pretty much on par with the rest of Yardstick's menu. It's borderline affordable since this specific drink uses the popular oat milk brand Oatside. Just in case you forgot: Yardstick collaborated with Oatside before for new drinks and soft serve.
