Coffee Shops With Cool Embroidered Caps, Tote Bags + More Merch

(SPOT.ph) For most of us who are caffeine-dependent, drinking coffee has become a part of our personality. It's why it's quite telling of someone's personality when you find out how they consume their daily caffeine dosage: hot or iced, decaffeinated or nananampal, plain black or sweetened, regular dairy or upgraded to oat milk, and whether the brew's shade is a light brown or as black as one's soul.

In this shopping guide, we list down other ways you can show the world how much you love coffee with the help of local coffee shops' own line of merchandise. You can go for something as subtle as a keychain that you can attach to your car keys, or go for something as clear-cut as an oversized shirt with a huge coffee illustration.

Yardstick Coffee

Third-wave coffee shop Yardstick has released canvas tote bag collections for the past years. For their 10th anniversary, they released a special Yardstick Market Bag in two fruity colors: Lemon Yellow (P790) and Kiwi Green (P790). These bags are big enough for a quick grocery run or a trip to the Legaspi Sunday Market (where the first Yardstick branch opened). It has a mini pocket inside where you can store your valuables such as your phone and wallet.

Exchange Coffee Alley House

Southies who know Exchange Coffee Alley House, also referred to as EACH, should know that the coffee shop released an anniversary collection that includes a pair of bright yellow Brew Crew Socks (P250) you can wear with your sneakers. These socks, available in white and EACH Yellow, have the words "Brew" and "Crew" on the cuffs, while the "Speciality Coffee" text is on the sole. You can match the socks with the EACH Menu Birthday Tee (P590) which comes in three designs based on the café's bestsellers: Duet, Salmon Rice, and Affogato.

blocleaf café

blocleaf café's recent merchandise drop included a shirt, a tote bag, and trendy hotel keychains with the "Malate Neighborhood Coffee Club" text printed on each item. The Neighborhood T-Shirt (P849) is a round-neck oversized shirt in emerald green, with an illustration of the neighborhood's coffee crowd; the Neighborhood Mini Bag (P999) is a lengthwise tote with a sling strap and inside pocket; and the Neighborhood Keychain (P199), which comes in Tangerine and Pine, has the café's address and logo printed on it.

Commune

For the past decade since Commune opened in Poblacion, it has built its name as one of the best coffee shops in the Metro. When they celebrated their 10th anniversary last 2023, they released the Commune Tees (P850) which are black, round-neck tees with cute little illustrations on the front. If you frequent Commune, you'd know the cat illustrations are inspired by the café's very own feline employees, Mirage and Mocha. As for the design on the back, it shows Commune's pride in sourcing local coffee beans for their brews.

Commune's merchandise is available at 36 Polaris Street, Poblacion, Makati City.

Good Sh*t Coffee

We don't know if it's the "You can never have enough tote bags" mindset in us, but the Good Sh*t Tool Bag (P2,500) and Good Sh*t Tote (P2,745) of Poblacion's Good Sh*t Coffee definitely got our attention. These reversible bags come in a sturdy waxed canvas material—made in partnership with Fren Supply—that is available in Asphalt Gray and Brown for the tool bag, and Brown and Rust for the tote.

Good Sh*t Coffee also dropped other merchandise together with the bags. There's the Good Sh*t Tee (P750) which has a typeface of the café's name on the front and a diner-style coffee illustration on the back. They also released coffee-colored reversible Good Sh*t Bucket Hats (P800) with the café's smiley face logo on one side, and the phrase "coffee now, sh*t later" on the other.

Good Sh*t Coffee's merchandise is available at 5872 Enriquez, Makati City. Every purchase comes with a free drink.

Drip Kofi

If you want a statement piece that literally shows the world what kind of coffee drinker you are, Drip Kofi has just the thing your wardrobe is missing. Priced at P350 each, the coffee shop's black cap has "Americano" embroidered in the front; the "Ca Phe Sua Da" uses a dark brown cap; the "Matcha" is embroidered on a vibrant green cap; the "Spanish Latte" is sewn on a milky brown-colored cap; and the "Oat Milk" makes use of a white cap. 

Drip Kofi's caps are available at 149 E. Rodriguez Avenue, Taytay, Rizal.

Wabi Sabi Pottery Studio + Wabi Café

Just in case you didn't know, pottery studio Wabi Sabi in Kapitolyo has an extended café where they sell the prettiest shirts. The Wabi Sabi shirts (P900), available in black and white, are made in collaboration with CURATED (@curated_x on Instagram), who did an illustration showing different ceramics, from a plain o'l mug to ones with boobies.

Group and Boiler Coffee Co.

Group & Boiler Coffee Co.'s new boxy canvas tote bag was made in partnership with artist Karakugaki, who took inspiration in creating a blue monochromatic design to depict what it's like at the Molito coffee shop on the reg. On one side of the Karakugaki Tote Bag (P750), it's an illustration of the coffee shop with the cutest animal characters representing the baristas and the café's patrons, and on the other side of the tote is a guide to the animal characters.

Group & Boiler Coffee Co.'s Kakuragi Tote Bag is available at Molito Lifestyle Complex, Madrigal Avenue, Ayala Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

Deuces Coffee

After more than a year since Deuces Coffee opened in Perea, Makati, this cafe has finally released its line of merchandise—which, for us, looks exactly like something a typical coffee lover would wear on a coffee run to Deuces. There's the Deuces Reversible Bucket Hat-chata (P760) with vivid color blocks of green, yellow, and pink, and then there's the terracotta-red Deuces Bloom Shirt (P850) with a flat illustration of a person hiding under an upside-down coffee cup, and with the words "always brewing" and "always blooming" in chunky, groovy text.

Candid Coffee

Sweet coffee drinkers who have been shamed for their taste in coffee, gather around and prepare to make the best impulse buy of your life. Candid Coffee's merch drop is the Anti Coffee Snob Coffee Club Shirt (bundle price starts at P969) which was done as a statement for nosy people who need to mind their own cup of coffee. Because if a threatening glare isn't enough to get the message across, hopefully, this shirt will.
