La Union's Masa Bakehouse to Close All Metro Manila Branches
This brings "she ate and left no crumbs" to a whole different level.
(SPOT.ph) If you’ve been to La Union, you def know Masa by Barefoot, the surf town’s best-known homegrown bakery. Best known for their croissants, the bakery has expanded to different parts of Metro Manila—from Taft in Manila, BF Homes in Paranaque City, and Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig. In an Instagram post, the bakery announced that all three of its Metro Manila branches have and are scheduled to close, with only the La Union and El Nido branches that will remain open.

La Union's Masa Bakehouse to close all Metro Manila branches
“We’re closing all our Metro Manila branches,” announces Masa by Barefoot in a recent Instagram post. The post goes on to confirm that their Taft, Manila branch—the most recent to open out of the three, opened just last quarter of 2023—has already closed its doors last March. Which means the university crowd has been tragically kwasong-less for over a month now.
Over at BF Homes, Masa Bakehouse will be serving dine-in customers until May 18—there's time to say your goodbyes, at least. Can’t make the trip? No judgment. Takeout and delivery from the BF Homes branch will still be available until June 15, giving you more than a month to get your pastry fix, sans the cozy interiors of the bakery.
As for the first Masa Bakehouse in Metro Manila, the post says the BGC branch will “remain open for as long as possible,” which, in this ever-shifting F&B scene, definitely counts as a silver lining. No closing date, no heartbreak... not just yet.
With all Metro Manila branches now closed or on their way out, maybe this is the universe telling you to follow the irresistible scent of freshly-baked pastries at their La Union or El Nido branch…whichever is first on your vacation bucket list.

Masa Bakehouse La Union is at Costales Street, Sitio Dappat, San Juan, La Union, while Masa El Nido is along El Nido National Highway, Palawan (next to Jurias, LBC, and Caltex).
