(SPOT.ph) It’s already mid-December, and we’re guessing you’re scrambling to get through your gift list. Some people are easy to buy gifts for because you just know them so damn well—for the rest, well, you can always count on food to please almost everyone. Plus, these food gifts come in the prettiest packaging, so you don’t have to worry about wrapping these up.
Crumbs by Mo’ Cookies (P245/dozen)

It’s impossible to not have heard of Mo’ Cookies by now—or you might be more familiar with the snaking queue at their pop-up in Rockwell. Formerly known as The Mess Hall cookies, Mo’ Cookies are some of the most hard to resist—their Chocolate Chip is currently our best chocolate-chip cookie in Manila, though we’re also particularly fond of their South Cotabato Chocolate Fudge, a dark chocolate cookie dotted with chocolate chunks. While they first became famous for their bigger-than-your-palm cookies, their Crumbs are smaller (by Mo' Cookies' standards) versions that are just the perfect size for dunking in milk. Give these to someone special; it’s that kind of treat.
Mo’ Cookies is at R1, Power Plant Mall, Rockwell, Makati City.
Nanay Luisa’s Queso de Bola Spread (P150/80 grams, P280/200 grams, P540/400 grams, P1,100/850 grams)

Queso de bola may be a staple in every Filipino holiday spread, but the sharp cheese can be pretty divisive. Even queso de bola-haters may just be converted, though, by Nanay Luisa’s Queso de Bola Spread. The spread is a blend of Edam cheese with mayonnaise, pimiento, and pickle relish for just the right blend of sharply savory and brightly acidic that makes this addictive. Throw in some crackers and some smoked meats for a budget cheese plate.

The tang of the cheesecake top complements the sweeter brownie bottom, making this a treat that looks—and tastes—worthy of any festive table. Bibingka Cheesecake by Le Sucré Lab Chocolates (P685)
Le Sucré Lab Chocolates may be popular for their Chocolate Dreamcake but it isn’t the only cake they have going for them. In fact, we could argue that their Bibingka Cheesecake could be better. Le Sucré takes the classic holiday sweet and turns it into a moist and luscious cake, with sharp cheese blended in the middle to make it extra decadent. Add the generous topping of salted egg slices and the toasted cheese crust and you have yourself a winner. Plus, the Bibingka Cheesecake comes in an elegant, gold-rimmed tin can so gifting is a breeze.
