(SPOT.ph) The brown-sugar milk craze is far from over, not when there are more milk-tea shops from Taiwan (arguably the birth place of the drink) landing in Manila. Next to arrive is JLD Dragon, a Taiwan-based milk-tea joint whose specialty is brown-sugar milk. JLD Dragon—sometimes called "Dragon Milk" in Taiwan—is one of the names synonymous to brown-sugar milk in Taiwan (up there with The Alley, Tiger Sugar, and Xing Fu Tang) and known as one of the most popular milk-tea brands in Asia, so to say that we're stoked is an understatement.
They've been spotted at Robinsons Galleria and Roseann Villegas, director of corporate PR for Robinsons Land, shares that they've set their eyes on a mid-September opening.

According to information sent by Villegas, JLD Dragon (or Ji Long Tang Dragon) is a milk-tea shop that currently has 15 branches all over Taiwan and more in Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore. For their signature Brown Sugar Bubble Thick Milk they use pearls stir-fried in Okinawa brown sugar, which they then add to fresh milk. They also offer Brown Sugar Black Tea Latte for those looking for the earthy flavor of tea. Based on the sample menu they shared with us, prices range from P80 to P120. They'll also be offering fluffly souffles like the Pearl Souffle (P300) topped with their brown-sugar pearls, and Kyoto Matcha Red Bean Souffle (P300). We can't wait!
JLD Dragon is opening at 2/F Veranda, Robinsons Galleria, Ortigas, Quezon City.Â
