Here are 10 great places for burgers in Quezon City:

Sweet Ecstasy

It took several tries but Sweet Ecstasy is back in Quezon City (Fun fact: Before their Jupiter branch, there was the Cubao X branch, where they were first fondly called Sweet X by regulars). Their Cheeseburger, a picture-perfect rendition with a juicy beef patty blanketed with melted cheese, crisp lettuce, and onions between two pillow-soft buns, is currently our choice for Metro Manila’s best burger. It's a spot previously occupied...by Sweet X, too (their off-menu Steamed Cheeseburger, to be exact), so you know they only offer the best stuff.

Charlie’s Grind and Grill

From a small burger shop adjacent to a car wash, Charlie’s Grind and Grill now has several branches around Metro Manila, including Quezon City. They offer two kinds of patties—Wagyu and Black Angus—which only differ in fat content, but either will still get you excellently grilled, juicy burgers. We think the secret is in their house-made sauces. Not sure with what to order? You can’t go wrong with the classic Black Angus Cheese Burger (P250).

Pound by Todd English

Dining at any of Pound’s three Quezon-City branches feels like being transported back to the '20s with its brick interiors, copper accents, and brass utensils. The burgers are just as classy, too: If you’re in a treat-yourself mood, go for the Pound Foie Gras Burger (P700), which comes with a 50-gram seared foie gras for an extra layer of sinful, fatty flavor. But you’ll also be more than satisfied by their signature Backyard Cheeseburger (P280), a classic cheeseburger that has every element—juicy beef patty, cheddar cheese, crisp lettuce, tomato, and brioche buns—in perfect form. You can even get the burger with double patties (P380).

Once a neighborhood smokehouse from Marikina, Fat Daddy’s Smokehouse has since moved to UP Town Center. They’re best known for their ribs, but their burgers are worth a shot, too, especially if you have a voracious appetite. You’ll need a lot of space for their hefty burgers, like their signature Daddy’s Burger (P350) with two quarter-pound beef patties, bacon strips, and crisp veggies, dressed to smoky perfection with chipotle mayo and barbecue sauce. Meanwhile, The Triple Death Burger (P440), with two quarter-pound beef patties and sweet-smoky pulled pork, lives up to its name—if this is indeed how we go, we honestly wouldn’t mind.

POPS Beyond Better Burgers

A gas station is probably the last place you’ll think to go to for a great burger, but that’s sure to change after a visit to POPS Beyond Better Burgers, which is hidden inside a gas station along Katipunan Avenue. The burger joint makes great use of their limited space by filling it with pastel decor and posters with classic pop-culture references. Their burgers are great renditions of a classic, too: The Moo Melt (P199), a classic cheeseburger with cheese melted on top of an Angus beef patty, is an easy crowd-favorite. Pair your burger with a Whooper’s Malt Milkshake (P99) for the full American-diner experience.

This all-around comfort-food restaurant is known for adding their own twist to classics, and that includes their signature burger. The Fat Seed Burger (P395) is an eye-catching sandwich, thanks to the black brioche buns. But it’s not all looks—the thick, beef burger patties are doused in a secret homemade umami sauce.
