Poblacion Hangout Spot Polilya Is Closing Their Doors
It's a sad day for the local bar scene.
(SPOT.ph) These are hard times for the restaurant industry—but most especially for the local bar scene. Yet another bar is closing down: Poblacion haunt Polilya.
“This was an extremely hard and sad decision for us to make,” Polilya shares in a social media post. “What we’ve created over the past three years is a labor of love. Throughout this time you, our loyal customers, have become a part of the Polilya family.” Polilya also thanks its staff for all of the “time and love” they put into the bar. “You are the heart and soul of Polilya.”
Polilya was a restaurant and bar in Poblacion that opened in 2017, and was known for their moody lighting with eclectic touches and extensive selection of Engkanto beer. Offering tasty contemporary eats and tropical-themed living room-esque interiors, they were a go-to hangout spot for many a Poblacion goer.
Our hearts are with the owners and the staff. Polilya was a bar like no other, and closed as they may be, our memories of lounging around, sipping beer while noshing on their fish and chips live on.
