12/10 in Makati Is Closing Their Doors

Hold on to those memories.

(SPOT.ph) Chances are, you spent one or more Friday nights hanging out at 12/10, enjoying the party-in-the-mouth that was their Salmon Kushiyaki, and sipping on signature libations like their famous Fuck You, Daisy drink. Sadly, you'll have to hold on to those memories, because the restaurant has announced that it will be closing their doors on October 31.

"It is with a heavy heart that we announce that we will be packing up after service for the last time at the end of the month, October 31, for hibernation," 12/10 writes in an Instagram post. "COVID-19 had taken all of us by surprise; and while it has already changed everything, there is still such an unknown period ahead of us. As much as we’d love to ride the tide, 12/10 will have to take a rest for now to strengthen itself for its regrowth post-pandemic."

The Salmon Kushiyaki was a flavor-and-texture party with its combination of salmon, truffle salt, curry, and cornflakes.

Not all is lost, however: 12/10 clarifies that their closure is "not a goodbye". "We will see you all again in a different, hopefully much better, form sooner than you’ll notice." For now, you can still enjoy their Japanese-style sandwiches from their sister venture, Panko Pussy, as well as shortbread and other treats from their online store.

12/10 was established in 2014 by Gab Bustos and Thea de Rivera, who are also behind another restaurant, The Girl + The Bull. Located along Guijo street in Makati, they served hip and modern takes on izakaya fare and equally great drinks to match. We can't wait to see what they've got under their sleeves next.
