(SPOT.ph) Food as thought of today goes beyond being a necessity. We also eat to appreciate the culture, history, and artistry behind certain dishes—not to mention for pure enjoyment's sake. So, too, has food come to be elevated to luxury status in some contexts—like fine-dining spots that whip up food generally pricier than your average neighborhood joint, but that promise a sublime experience that engages all of the senses. The World Luxury Restaurant Awards is one figure that aims to shine the spotlight on the best luxury restaurants the world over; and for their upcoming 2022 run they've included a number of restaurants in the Philippines, including Spiral, Samira by Chele Gonzalez, and Xin Tian Di, as part of their nominees.

These homegrown restaurants are nominated to be part of the World Luxury Restaurant Awards:
The World Luxury Restaurant Awards list has released its list of nominees for the 2022 run, and several dining spots at hotels around the Philippines have made it to the roster under different categories. Of these is Sofitel's famed buffet Spiral (for International Cuisine, Best Buffet Variety, and Luxury Hotel Restaurant), as well as Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria's Xin Tian Di (for Chinese Cuisine).
Samira by Chele Gonzalez at Anya Resort Tagaytay is nominated under the categories Luxury Unique Experience, Luxury Boutique Resort Restaurant, and Luxury Resort Restaurant; Conrad Manila's China Blue by Jerome Leung is similarly nominated under Chinese Cuisine, Luxury Scenic Setting, and Luxury Hotel Restaurant. Last but not the least is The Roof at Joy Nostalg Hotel & Suites Manila, nominated under Best Panoramic Views.
