Yup, Your Starbucks Drinks Are More Expensive Now

(SPOT.ph) No one likes change. Granted, there's change for the better—but for the most part we are creatures of habit who like to latch on to the familiar and predictable. Sadly this is real life and change isn't exactly avoidable. For one, your go-to drink at Starbucks will cost you a few more coins than usual, at least for the time being, as the brand is raising the prices of their drinks by P5.

Here's what we know about Starbucks raising prices:

Starbucks is increasing prices by P5 across all their beverages, the company says in a statement. "We regularly review pricing to allow us to properly balance the experience we provide customers with our need to effectively run the business." Though it might not feel like a huge leap if you only ever buy from them occasionally, it can definitely add up if you go on the daily or so; plan accordingly, Spotters.

It's also worth noting the recent sugar supply shortage, which also means prices for the commodity have gone up. It wasn't too long ago that popular soda bigwigs Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and RC Cola acknowledged that very issue; fingers crossed things turn out for the better soon.
