Zack Tabudlo Goes Global With Mercury Records

(SPOT.ph) Filipino singer-songwriter Zack Tabudlo has come a long way from being that 12-year-old kid we saw on local TV. He's going global now—signing with Mercury Records, the same label behind Zayn Malik and Post Malone.
“after so many years in the making, we’re finally here. it’s funny how quickly life can turn around. from being a normal kid in the philippines writing songs in my tiny room after school, to now being signed by one of the biggest record labels in america… your boy is now officially signed with Mercury Records US!!” Tabudlo wrote on Instagram.
“it’s honestly such a surreal experience to be a part of an incredible roster alongside all my heroes. (yes, i am crying as i write this post bro im in the same roster as POST MALONE AND ZAYN MALIK LIKE BRO WHAT)”
Founded in 1945, Mercury Records has been influential in various music genres like jazz, blues, classical, rock and roll, and country. Now operating under the ownership of Universal Music Group (UMG), the label continues to support a diverse roster of artists.
Notable names under Mercury Records include Bo Burnham, Dayglow, James Bay, Jeremy Zucker, Lord Huron, Morgan Wallen, and Stephen Sanchez. Filipino-American singer-songwriter Lyn Lapid is also part of the lineup.

Who is Zack Tubudlo?
Tabudlo’s journey to this milestone has been years in the making.
The 22-year-old first gained attention on The Voice Kids Philippines in 2014, where he was mentored by Bamboo. He didn’t win, but does that really matter now? In the years following his television debut, Tabudlo just got bigger and better. He went on to become the first artist signed by Island Records Philippines, the sub-label of UMG Philippines.
His breakthrough came with the release of his single "Nangangamba" in 2020, followed by the chart-topping hits "Binibini" and "Pano" in 2021, which solidified his status in the OPM scene.
In light of the announcement, Tabudlo also teased new music coming up: “i can’t wait for you guys to hear what i’ve been working on! ik it’s been half a year of no music, wait til u see tomorrow.”
No other word on what’s coming next, but one thing’s for sure—he’s just getting started.
