( "Skrrt skrrt." We've all heard this phrase before, sometimes even coming from our own mouths. Maybe in your favorite rap songs, and by extension, some rappers? Perhaps from one of your friends? Saw it on social media? Was it another one of those Gen Z slangs? Or, possibly, if you're an avid K-Pop fan, you've heard it "one too many" times from none other than "your boy, Double B" Bambam, the South Korean-based Thai singer, rapper, and member of worldwide K-pop group GOT7.

What is "skrrt skrrt," you ask? It's said to be an onomatopoeia of tires screeching when you drift. And if you've been in the Twitter space for too long, you may know by now that the Thai artist says the phrase a lot (he even had a song with it as the title) with his trademark dabbing pose. Everywhere. And in the Philippines is no exception.

If you've been keeping tabs on the charismatic idol, you probably know that he's in the country since July 25. Yup, we're breathing the same air. His first stop? The Queen City of the South, Cebu. He's now in Manila not just for a solo event but also for the 2022 Kpop Masterz in Manila concert today, July 29, at the Mall of Asia Arena—A stage he will be sharing together with his fellow GOT7 member, Chinese singer and rapper Jackson Wang, and the 12-member group Treasure.

(Side note: He was also not spared from the Manila traffic).

"Everybody say 'skrrt skrrt'," he said last July 28, something his fans were delighted to do when he was in the city for the second leg of his fan-sign event in Ayala Malls, Manila Bay in Parañaque City. Before this treat for his beloved Aghases and fans, the idol got to share tidbits from his time in the country, and a whole lot more.

Fast and fun facts about Thai rapper and singer Bambam.

He wants to visit the beach and experience the night market

We mean, who doesn't? The country is full of stunning white-sand beaches with crystal clear and blue waters you just can't help but dip your toes into. Then, at night, the Thai actor shared that he really wants to visit the night markets in the country.  "You have night markets, right?" he asks cutely. "I want to go." We feel you, Bambam.

'Milkfish is the best'

In one of his tweets, Bambam expressed his love for bangus while he was dining out one evening. On his table were also sisig and lechon. He might've sampled the sweet and savory taste of tocilog the morning after, courtesy of Sandara Park's recommendation under his tweet.

He knows the lyrics to Ronnie Liang's "Ngiti" and likes Ben&Ben's "Leaves"

Yup! Bambam knows one of the OPM '90s hit ode to our crushes. He actually sang it in 2015 during GOT7's first fan meeting in Manila. He made a promise to come back and sing the full song. The day has come, Aghases! We will finally have the 2022 version of him singing "Ngiti" in the 2022 K-pop Masterz concert. Oh, the feeling of being serenaded by the one and only Double B. But really, we're can all agree that, to Bambam: "Sa iyong ngiti, ako'y nahuhumaling."

A possible collaboration with James Reid?

"Actually we've been talking, like—we should (make) a song," the Thai actor said at the fansign event. But, sadly, "Nothing happened yet." But if he does get a chance (crossing our fingers it's soon!), he'd be happy to collaborate with James Reid.

Bambam refers to the Filipino-Australian singer and actor as his good friend. They even shared a meal—sisig—together with Filipino-American actress Liza Soberano while the Thai artist is in the country.

His pre-show ritual.

Drinking Red Bull. Sometimes, tequila (#mood).

Also, shot puno, Bambam.

Bambam debuted as a member of GOT7 in 2014. After the group parted ways with their longtime entertainment agency in 2021, the members went to pursue solo activities but continued to be GOT7. Bambam made his debut as a soloist with riBBon months after signing into a new ABYSS Company, where Sandara Park is also under. His latest music release was "Wheels Up" in April.
