(SPOT.ph) Looks like Vanessa Hudgens is making the most of her time in the Philippines. The HSM star landed in Manila on March 26 and based on her latest Instagram posts, she's already made it to the paradise that is Palawan's El Nido. Hudgens posted a reel of an early morning hike, complete with stunning nature views and even a cheeky little monkey, on March 28.

Vanessa Hudgens posts about gorgeous Palawan hike on Instagram
"5am hike to the top of the world," wrote Hudgens in the caption. She also posted an IG story greeting everyone a good morning with sunrise-tinged sea views.
The star, best known for her role as Gabriela in Disney's High School Musical, and as many princesses in Netflix's Princess Switch, is coming back to her roots in the Philippines. Her mom, Gina, was 25 years old when she emigrated from Mindanao to the U.S., according to GMA Network.
“My mom is from the Philippines, and growing up there weren’t really that many women who looked like me and my mom and my family on screen,” Hudgens told Glamour UK in 2021. “It’s so important to share all the different stories because America is a massive melting pot, [just like the] world. There are so many different stories that need to be told so that we are exposed to them and can have more empathy towards different people.”
Hudgens was spotted in El Nido with her mom Gina and sister Stella. The actor and her family are here to shoot a travel documentary in both Palawan and Manila, a title that will be produced and directed by Paul Soriano. Whether the hike she posted on her Instagram will be part of the documentary remains to be seen—what is sure though is that she's making the most of her time in El Nido.
