Watching Movies in Bed Is Going to Be a Thing Soon at This Taguig Cinema

(SPOT.ph) After a long grueling day at work, it feels good just to lay down, kick back, relax, and watch a movie. While streaming platforms have all the options, there are still flicks that hit theaters before everywhere else. And sure, cinemas have indeed become more comfortable, with some sporting big comfy seats and recliners versus the usual folding seats, nothing can beat the comfort of having a bed and pillows.

Well, it looks like choosing between your bed and the latest movie is no longer a problem as we're getting the country's first bed cinema. Yup, you read that right. Uptown Bonifacio will soon introduce the Uptown Tempur Cinema, a movie theater that lets you watch movies while lazing around on your own specialized theater bed, complete with pillows.

Here's what we know about Uptown Tempur Bed Cinemas:

Set to open this November at Uptown Bonifacio in Taguig, the Uptown Tempur Cinema is the first luxury bed cinema to hit the Metro. The brand-new theater is designed with top-notch seating configuration comparable to a first-class airplane cabin. This allows moviegoers to sit at ease or lie down comfortably on premium Tempur beds and mattresses while watching their favorite blockbusters on the big screen equipped with Dolby Atmos for an immersive sound quality and experience.

Before you even think about all the hanky-panky and shenanigans you could do in the cinema, representatives from Megaworld informed SPOT.ph that tickets to the new cinema will be priced at P1,000 per head, with each bed able to accommodate two individuals at a time. So be ready to cough up at least P2,000 for a date here. Don't worry, with a price tag that steep, it'll still be relatively private. All-in-all, a cinema is expected to accommodate 32 beds, bringing the total capacity to 64 guests.

As of writing, only Uptown Bonifacio is slated to house this cinema configuration, but plans of expanding the bed cinema to other Megaworld Lifestyle Malls are also in the pipeline.
