(SPOT.ph) Fans were already excited when it was announced that Nadine Lustre was teaming up with director Irene Villamor (Camp Sawi, Meet Me in St. Gallen, Sid & Aya: Not a Love Story) for Ulan, a film that the actress says is about “self-love.” But fans freaked out even more when Carlo Aquino joined the cast of the film as one of Lustre’s love interests. While Xian Lim was supposed to be in the movie, fans couldn’t be more thrilled to see Lustre and Aquino on the big screen together alongside AJ Muhlach and Marco Gumabao.
After the Internet hilariously guessed what his role could be, Aquino finally revealed that he’ll be playing Peter, who teaches street kids. While plot details are still scarce, the highly anticipated film finally has a new teaser.
In the teaser, a young girl asks her lola why it rains when it’s sunny. Just like many grandmothers, her lola says it’s because, “May kinakasal na tikbalang." Then, there are various scenes of Lustre with her three leading men. The teaser ends with her younger self, who’s playing around in the rain, running into a—you guessed it—tikbalang.
There’s no word yet on when the film will be released but fingers crossed it’ll be soon!
Update as of March 11, 2019 (8:30 p.m.): Ulan premieres in theaters on March 13.
