This Is Your Only Chance to Catch the Uncensored Version of Born Beautiful
Because it gets pretty steamy.
(SPOT.ph) After what seems like an eternity, the highly anticipated sequel to Jun Robles Lana's Die Beautiful is almost here. Born Beautiful takes place right after the death of the pageant-competing Trisha (Paolo Ballesteros), a transgender woman who told her best friend Barbs (then played by Christian Bables) that she wanted to look like different celebrities. Barbs came through—with Trisha looking like Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Angelina Jolie during her wake. Martin del Rosario is now taking over as Barbs when the rated R-18 Born Beautiful opens in theaters on January 23.
But before it does, you can catch an uncensored version of the film, directed by Perci Intalan, on January 18 at the UP Cine Adarna at 7 p.m. You might want to call up your movie buddies ASAP because there are limited seats available.
You only need to watch at the film's red-band trailer to see why it was rated 18 and above—but also to see why you should catch it in all its steamy glory. The teaser doesn't hold back in showing Barbs making out with not just one, but two (!) love interests played by Kiko Matos and Akihiro Blanco. Aside from her blossoming love life, the film also sees Barbs trying to make herself straight after the death of another one of her friends. But it looks like Trisha's spirit isn't having it.
Born Beautiful opens in cinemas on January 23 with a limited screening on Janaury 18. For more information, check out the event page on Facebook.
