Filipina Singer's Cover of "Both Sides Now" Featured in British TV Drama
Singer Keiko Necesario's voice can be heard in an episode of Ackley Bridge.
(SPOT.ph) You can probably listen to the original version of your music faves for months on end. While they're great in their own right, covers can provide a fresh take on a well-loved classic. Filipino artists are fond of giving songs their own spin, like Silent Sanctuary giving Regine Velasquez's "Pangako" a go or Ben&Ben covering Christmas king Jose Mari chan's songs. They may be different from the original, but you can love them just as much. This time around, singer Keiko Necesario's cover of Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now" has found itself in an episode of Ackley Bridge, a British TV drama.
The cover, which features Necesario singing while playing the guitar, was posted on YouTube in August 2016.
Her cover can be heard in episode 8 of Ackley Bridge's third season. The drama follows the merger of two schools in a segregated British and Pakistani community and tackles cultural issues and prejudice in a school environment.
Necesario also took to Twitter to share her excitement.
