(SPOT.ph) Playing patintero, tumbang preso, and other street games with your neighbors may have made for some fun memories, but the real fun began when someone got the great idea to explore the abandoned house nearby. At night. You may have done it in your childhood and survived to tell the tale, but as much as you've gotten away unscathed, we're pretty sure the thought of doing it again still sends a shiver down your spine. If you want to relive the thrill without having to step foot in an old and worn-down building yourself, watching a horror flick will give you the same rush: the new iWant original Abandoned is streaming starting today.
Directed by Liway director Kip Oebanda, Abandoned follows a single mother, played by Beauty Gonzalez, who works as a guard and takes on the job of making the rounds at an abandoned building in Manila. The night shift makes her queasy, but she persists to provide for herself and her only son, played by Kadenang Ginto's Seth Fedelin. As she proceeds with her rounds every shift—once at 12 a.m. and again at 3 a.m.—she begins to see the spirits that haunt the building. Is it only a matter of time before the spirits that haunt her at work start haunting her at home?
Abandoned streams on iWant on August 28.
