John Legend to Perform at an Online Concert You Can Watch for Free
If you can't go to a show, the show will come to you!
(SPOT.ph) The Metro is under "enhanced community quarantine" until April 12, which means you'll have to stay at home until then to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Several Manila shows and concerts have already been postponed or canceled to ensure the safety of performers, fans, and crew. You might be left feeling bummed out, but some of your fave artists have found a way around the quarantine and travel ban: singer-songwriter John Legend will be having an online gig on Instagram Live on March 18, 4 a.m. (Philippine time).
The crooner was inspired by Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin who did his own online gig on March 17 to chat with fans who are staying at home for quarantine. Legend's wife Chrissy Teigen will also be there during his livestream, and quips that "she has no choice."
The "All of Me" singer confirmed her appearance, teasing that there may be more to the livestream than just a gig.
He's even taking requests as early as now, and asked fans for suggestions on who he should tap next to hold their own online concert.
Legend also encouraged fans to do the math since we live in different timezones, and we did it for you so you don't have to. While 4 a.m. might be earlier than your usual wake-up time, just think that it could be a good start to the rest of your day.
