Ben&Ben Releases Music Video in Honor of Frontliners
The entire video was made using smartphones.
(SPOT.ph) Local band Ben&Ben is known for their melodious vocals and heartfelt lyrics—both of which have been on full display amidst the enhanced community quarantine through Facebook Live concerts. These virtual concerts have not only kept fans entertained while stuck at home, but have also been in service of raising funds to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. In their continuing efforts to use their music and influence to aid the relief efforts, Ben&Ben just released the music video for their latest song “War” and the entire video is dedicated to frontliners!
The video first premiered on the National Geographic Asia channel on television over the weekend of April 25 where the video is set to be intervally aired until the end of May. Today, April 29, Ben&Ben just released the video online for the first time. In their Twitter post announcing the video's online premiere, the band encouraged fans to continue supporting the production of COVID-19 test kits and left a link where they could leave donations. Their donation service is in partnership with the One Nation Against Covid-19 Project.
The video itself features frontliners like healthcare workers, security guards, and more whilst on the job in the middle of the current pandemic—each one flashing a smile or playfully dancing to the beat of the song. Some are even seen holding up the song's lyrics on their phones. The video's title says that it was "made with our phones," proving that while access may be scarce at this time, it's definitely possible to make do with what you have in order to help others.
