(SPOT.ph) Don't lie. You've probably imagined yourself a part of the reimagined Regency era of Netflix's Bridgerton. (What exactly it was you were doing in those fantasies, we shan't discuss). And with the much-awaited second season dropping soon on the streaming service, those dreams have probably been reignited. Hard. Well, here's your chance to let the fire burn: the Villa Bridgerton in New Manila, Quezon City. We're sure you've seen all the buzz on social media about it—with thanks to that explosive TikTok-led clip—and we got first-hand info on whether the Villa is worth it. Check out the practical tips below.
Here's what you should know about Netflix's Villa Bridgerton
So, what is it exactly? Netflix took one of the stately old mansions of New Manila and turned it into a Regency-inspired dream for us ordinary folk to explore. It took the team nine days for the actual makeover with months of planning in advance. Whether you're a fan of the series, books, or simply want the chance to finally get a peek into the stately old homes of the historic area, we say it's worth a look-at.
The house has two floors and a garden to explore, all decked out and looking as if you might just bump into a Bridgerton sibling (maybe even the Duke). The house opens to the public—a.k.a. us peasants—on March 25, the same day Season 2 drops, and will be open for tours until April 3.
You can book a time to visit from the official website. Note that the tour is free—perfect for us plebeians—but that also means slots are filling up fast! You can register for you and a friend, so no worries about planning how you'll take pics. No food and drinks are allowed in the house proper itself. And since the lords and ladies-in-waiting will be ushering you from room to room, we suggest prepping your poses and strats beforehand.
