(SPOT.ph) After the recent drop of Spider-Man: No Way Home on Netflix last week, we felt like Peter Parker's boss J. Jonah Jameson (J. K. Simmons), screaming and demanding "more pictures of Spider-Man!" It doesn't even matter which of the "big three" Spider-Men we get; Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, or Tom Holland. It'd simply be amazing (not to be too on the nose) to have more time with the ol' web-head.

Fortunately, unlike the tragedy of Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), our prayers have been answered. The extended cut of Spider-Man: No Way Home is officially coming to Philippine cinemas in just a few months.

Spider-Man No Way Home Extended Cut Release Date Announced

Sony Pictures has announced the global theatrical release schedule for Spider-Man: No Way Home - The More Fun Stuff Version, including an exact release date for the Philippines. The extended cut of the film will be dropping in Philippine cinemas on September 7, not even a full week later than the extended cut's premiere in other countries like Indonesia, Australia, and the United States.

What exactly is being added in this "More Fun Stuff Version" is still being kept under wraps—unsurprising for Marvel Studios and this Spider-Man film in particular. When an extended cut of Avengers: Endgame was released in cinemas in 2019, it added an unfinished scene of the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) saving people from a burning building as a bonus for people who stayed after the credits (a.k.a. all normal Marvel fans).

The film's predecessor Spider-Man: Far From Home included on its home media release a short film entitled "Peter's To-Do List," which was a collection of scenes deleted from the opening sequence of the final film that dropped in cinemas.

Like in both cases, we think the extended cut's additional scenes won't affect the main plot of the film all that much. It's more likely to be in the vein of Far From Home's additions, which treated us to more action scenes and just generally more time to hang around with these characters.
