(SPOT.ph) Today is a good day to be a Blink because we just got a new music video from the fearsome foursome, BLACKPINK. After almost two years of hiatus doing their respective projects, BLACKPINK has finally made a comeback. You may recall the group having a virtual concert on PUBG recently as well as releasing an avatar version music video last July. But of course, nothing beats seeing our girls in real life.
The new song titled Pink Venom is labeled to be a pre-release single before their actual album drops in September, and let us tell you that the beats are earworm-worthy, and the music video is eye-catching. In typical K-Pop fashion, the song is a mix of different genres. You could distinctly hear Indian and Arabian influences coming through, mixed with '90s rap and dance pop.
As of writing, despite only being uploaded a few hours ago, the video has already reached over 27 million views and 2.5 million likes on YouTube. Fans are definitely eating up this new content fast, as it may still be a while before we get the whole album.
In case you haven't had the time to see the music video yet, here are some of our favorite visuals that make us scream BLACKPINK in your area:
This new release marks the beginning of a series of engagements for BLACKPINK's comeback. The full album is expected to release in September. In addition, Blackpink recently excited fans around the globe with news of a large-scale world tour (that includes Manila in 2023) that will commence in the second half of this year.
