10 Most Attention-Grabbing Celebrities at the ABS-CBN Ball 2019

Here are the headturners from the ball's red carpet!

(SPOT.ph) Now on its second year, the ABS-CBN Ball is an annual gathering of the best and brightest stars in show business. This year's theme is Modern Filipiniana and while all your favorite stars were dressed to the nines, there's no denying that some looks stood out. We list down the stars that caught our eye (and yes, some of them are couples so we're actually listing more than 10!):

Here are our picks for the most eye-catching celebrities who graced the 2019 ABS-CBN Ball red carpet:

One of the most anticipated appearances in the ball, the Hello, Love, Goodbye star deviated from her past ball outfits. Bernardo has worn white, black, and neutral shades in most events, but designer Michael Cinco wanted to see Bernardo in a pink number. The sharp bangs and red lip add to the overall shock factor of this look. She might be trying something new, but one thing remains the same: her red-carpet date is still Daniel Padilla, eight years in a row!

Marvin Agustin and Jolina Magdangal

Agustin and Magdangal may not be a real couple, but we'll take a joint appearance any day. It's been years since their last film together, but we have to admit, this '90s love team still give major kilig vibes.

Kira Balinger

Perfectly in theme, Balinger looks stunning in this Mark Bumgarner dress. The intricate details and beading on the sleek and classic silhouette elevate the familiar Filipiniana.

Vice Ganda

Now this is extra. The size of the sleeves alone is enough to make you look twice, but it's the long train that will keep you staring. And if that isn't enough, the gold details take this look to a whole new level. Don't forget the crown!

Maymay Entrata

Entrata's look is nothing short of grand—her Furne One gown's patterns take inspiration from the Manila Cathedral. Darker gold details stand out against the light translucent material of her gown, and is complemented by her eye-catching floral headpiece.

James Reid

The three-colored sash across the actor-singer's chest stands out against the all-white outfit designed by Paulo Lazaro. Inspired by the colors of the Philippine flag, the bejeweled accessory is also removable (thank you, velcro)! Off- and on-screen partner Nadine Lustre is his date for tonight's ball.

Beauty Gonzalez

We're not exactly sure how this dress is possible, but it is—and it's a sight to behold. The Kalayaan-themed Cary Santiago creation features a bird draped over the actress' body, which seems to defy gravity.

Ylona Garcia

The young singer-actress glistens with a fitted terno crop top and a figure-hugging skirt designed by Michael Leyva. And yes, even your regular errands demand a great outfit.

Kim Chiu

At first glance, Chiu's white beaded ensemble looks like your usual fitted evening gown, until your gaze trails down and you realize that it's a serpentine Filipiniana. We imagine walking in this gown is a bit difficult, but with how this Benj Leguiab creation looks in photos, the sacrifice is understandable.

Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil

We haven't seen the pair in a while—especially Soberano, who took a break after undergoing two surgeries for her injured finger in the U.S.—but they've made an appearance at the ball's red carpet. Gil is wearing an all-black Randy Ortiz barong, while Soberano dons a barong-inspired, Swarovski-studded gown by Patricia Santos.
