"Ate Janice, sandali!" said Maris Racal, probably.

( Maris Racal was recently on Magandang Buhay spreading good vibes with hosts Jolina Magdangal and Melai Cantiveros, plus veteran actress Janice de Belen. Being the singer, songwriter, actress, and meme queen that she is though, Racal couldn't leave the episode without making at least one unexpected joke!

She made it through the entire morning broadcast—singing her marupok anthem "Ate Sandali," sharing bits about her and boyfriend Rico Blanco, and even cooking up some law-uy, a Visayan veggie soup—smoothly. Until after the show when she erm, reflected on one totally funny moment on social media.

Maris Racal Has a Hilarious Argument Against Face Shields

Yup, De Belen made the most relatable mistake nowadays: forgetting you have a face shield on. You can spot Racal's hilarious expression as the veteran actress lifted a spoonful of the law-uy to her still-covered mouth. Ever the professional, De Belen simply lifted her shield out of the way to sample Racal's cooking and continued on. It was a small moment, but we're sure it did a lot to lift the pressure from the younger actress as the known foodie and cook tried her dish!

TBH, De Belen's blooper moment was a super common thing that probably could have gone by unnoticed—until Racal posted it on Facebook with a killer caption. "Sinasabi ko sa inyo sana wala nang face shield. Lito-lito na tayo," she wrote. Then she added a cheeky "Love you Miss Janice!" as a comment below. The post clearly struck a chord as it has reached around 13,000 shares as of writing.

Face shields have been a hot topic in the Philippines, specifically whether they're actually necessary or not. Remember in June 2021 when all the different opinions from government clearly showed they lacked a group chat? And if you squint, a lot, we think Racal makes a very good point.
