(SPOT.ph) BPI is phasing out its current mobile banking app, which will no longer be accessible to the public by tomorrow, October 18.
It will be replaced with a new mobile app with enhanced features that are in line with its digital strategy, which was launched by BPI President Jose Limcaoco on April 12. iOS users on the new BPI app may be requested to re-register their devices and re-enable the Mobile Key.
BPI is currently working on shifting the 61% of its clients enrolled in BPI Mobile to the new app as soon as the second half of 2023, but what can we expect from it?

Introducing the new BPI app
Instead of BPI Mobile, the new app will just be called BPI.
You can continue to transfer funds, pay bills, and buy load as usual with the new BPI app, while newcomers will be able to open an account with one ID in five minutes.
One of the more exciting features to look out for in the AI-powered financial advisor that can be accessed within the app. It will also have an improved user interface as seen below.
It can be recalled that the existing BPI app has underwent several maintenance checks in 2022, resulting in selected online services to become inaccessible for a few days.
The new BPI app is now available for download on the App Store and Google Play.
UPDATED (October 17, 2023): This article has been updated to add that the old BPI app will no longer be accessible from October 18 onwards.
