(SPOT.ph) Have you ever wished that driving in the Philippines were a little less stressful? Yeah, who hasn’t, really? While there are a lot of factors contributing to the state of mobility right now, there is one thing that can be made a little easier for motorists: keeping track of your RFID accounts (because yep, you need more than one, but we digress). For those on both Autosweep and Easytrip, another mobile app is online to help you out: the MPT DriveHub.

The Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation launched DriveHub at the same time the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway opened in March 2022. Now, motorists can use one app on all of the corporations tollways—Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) included, as reiterated in an event on February 24 at Il Corso Lifemalls in Cebu City.

It was emphasized during the two-day event that DriveHub is “very very important for motorists to install” because it makes passing CCLEX very convenient. “No need to line up; just go straight.” The app has 30,000 users in Cebu alone.

Easytrip users, here's what the MPT DriveHub app can do for your RFID needs:

Key details of using the app were discussed by Gines Barot, Assistant Vice President for Operations at MPT Mobility. These include a one-time registration that can save your payment info, so you won’t have to re-enter it every time you reload. You can top up your balance through the app via GCash or Maya; just note that a flat fee of P10 is incurred every time you reload, but the minimum amount is only P1 and there is no maximum. Plus, the load never expires either.

You can also monitor your balance in real time through the app and calculate toll fees. Simply input your destination for the app to gauge how much you need to have on your account.

While you're on the road, you can also use it to find the nearest gas stations, restos, and restrooms along their tollways. The app alerts you as to traffic updates in real time, too. And if you hit a roadblock, you can call for assistance via an emergency call button on the app.

Donald Saurombe, Assistant Vice President for Business Development at MPT Mobility, also teased future plans to create a rewards program of sorts via the app.

Expect to be able to use the app on all Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC): the CCLEX,  North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), and the NLEX Connector, the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), the Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway (CAVITEX), and the CAVITEX C5 Link.
