LOOK: Taguig Is Getting a New Transport Terminal in Arca South
It will be built where the former FTI used to be.
(SPOT.ph) Let’s be real—getting around Taguig can be tough for commuters. Parts of it could definitely use more public transport options, especially smaller, localized routes. Thankfully, things are looking up as a new transport terminal is coming to Arca South soon.
The Arca South Transport Terminal is expected to be operational by late 2025, offering various transportation options such as buses, jeepneys, and tricycles within the two-hectare facility. Completing it are food kiosks, restrooms, facilities for persons with disabilities (PWD), and a breastfeeding room for mothers.
In addition, Ayala Land is set to relocate the AANI Weekend Market to the Arca South Transport Terminal. This move will allow the market to continue offering its wide range of organic produce, fresh seafood, free-range poultry, and locally sourced goods while catering to the growing Arca South community.
The new transport terminal is part of Ayala Land’s effort to repurpose the former Food Terminal Inc. (FTI) site into a mixed-use development. FTI used to be a 74-hectare estate where fresh produce and agricultural goods were stored and distributed throughout Metro Manila. Today, the area is being redeveloped into Arca South—a business and lifestyle district akin to BGC.
The construction of the terminal is a key step toward making that vision a reality.

Not just the Arca South Transport Terminal
The new terminal isn’t the only transport project underway in Taguig. The Taguig Integrated Terminal Exchange (TITX) is an even bigger undertaking spanning more than five hectares. Also located in Arca South, it will serve as a regionally-focused transport hub for buses and public vehicles coming from the provinces.
Once completed, the TITX will be linked to the FTI Station on the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) and the future Metro Manila Subway, both expected to be operational by the end of the decade.
“Arca South is developing this terminal as a strategic solution to bridge the gap in transportation infrastructure while the Taguig Integrated Terminal Exchange (TITX) project is underway,” Ayala Land said in a press release.
