Cash in via online banking
You might have enjoyed free cash ins from BPI or UnionBank in the past years, but we bring bad news: GCash will start to charge a convenience fee for every transaction starting October 2.
- BPI: PHP 5 fee per transaction.
- UnionBank: PHP 5 fee per transaction.
For other banks, InstaPay fees will vary from P1 to P50. GCash is partnered with over 40 banks, with each bank having its own service fee for using InstaPay. It's recommended to check with your specific bank for exact fees.
- PayPal: Cashing in via PayPal is free of charge.
Cash in over the counter
- Puregold
- Savemore
- SM Hypermarket

- SM
- Robinsons
- TouchPay
- eTap / Pay & Go
- Shell Select
For example: If you've already cashed in P7,000 in a month and then cash in an additional P1,100, only the P100 that exceeds the P8,000 limit will be subject to the 2% fee. This results in a P2 service fee, which is automatically deducted from the amount you add to your GCash wallet.
This monthly limit resets on the first day of each month.
