(SPOT.ph) Have friends and family who are actively searching for work? You might want to tap open your GCash for this one because you can now earn money with successful job referrals through the super app.
Referral fees can range from P1,000 to as much as P65,000 depending on job listing, and up to P2.34 million referral fees are up for grabs, according to GCash. It’s another way to make extra income, especially if you have the relevant network for it. It’s a win-win situation for you and your contacts.
Here’s how it works: GCash users get six referral credits for every job opening, which means you can only send it to a maximum of six people on your contacts. These credits are your currency for making referrals to potential candidates.

How to earn money with job referral fees on GCash
Open the GCash app then click on “View All.”
Sroll down a bit to find the “Enjoy” category, then “Jobs.” You’ll find several job postings with varying referral fees. Click on the filter icon at the top right corner to sort the postings by “Newest”, “Top Salary”, or “Top Referral Fee”, the last of which was how we found the P65,000 goldmine.
See a job posting that is a good fit for a friend? Before hitting the refer button, make sure to read the job description first to make sure your contact is suitable for the position. Use those credits wisely! If yes, enter the full name email of the contact you will be referring. You will be notified if there is a successful referral.
Do note that a referral will not automatically earn you money. The candidate you referred needs to be hired and must stay in a company for a certain amount of time before you can receive your earnings.
Employers set different schedules for payouts which you can see once you tap the information button on the job posting. Payouts can differ, and can be any of the following:
- 100% after 30 days
- 50% after 30 days and 50% after 90 days
- 50% after 30 days and 50% after 180 days
- 50% after 90 days and 50% after 180 days
Take note that you will not be eligible to receive the referral fee if the candidate resigns before the payout date.
Another thing: The contact you referred is free to refer the position to another contact (and so on). In this case, the referral fee will be split between the two of you if the third contact is hired for the position. See the table below:
