(SPOT.ph) If you're heading to the Manila North and South Cemeteries to visit your dearly departed this Undas, note that the City of Manila just released several guidelines for visitors who will stop by from Sunday, October 29 to Thursday, November 2.
Expect more people than usual for All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day as well as this would be the first Undas sans COVID-19 restrictions since President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. lifted the state of public health emergency nationwide in July.
The main gates of the Manila North and South Cemeteries are open from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Do note that vehicles are only allowed to enter Manila North Cemetery until October 25 and Manila South Cemetery until October 28.

Undas reminders for Manila North and South Cemetery visitors
Try to think of the activities Filipino relatives love to do during Undas reunions. Lounging under the sun with a beer bottle in one hand and a hand of poker cards on the other? What this particular tito or tita might not know is that is prohibited in the Manila North and South Cemeteries for years now.
These are no-nos inside the two cemeteries from October 29 to November 2:
- No alcoholic beverages
- No deck cards, bingo cards, and other gambling paraphernalia
- No flammable materials
- No firearms and sharp others like knives, cutters, etc.
- No videoke or other sound systems that will cause loud sounds
- No vehicles
Make sure to eat a full meal before entering the cemetery as well as vendors are no longer allowed on premises.
