This Book Will Make You Want to Travel All Over the Philippines
For your bucket list!
(SPOT.ph) Experiencing the Northern Lights in Iceland, wandering the streets of Paris, and hiking to Machu Picchu in Peru are almost always included in an intrepid traveler's bucket list. But a newly launched coffee table book hopes to bring wanderers closer to home and see the Philippines as a destination that's worthy to be explored. Bucket List Philippines by Eastgate Publishing, with support by the Tourism Promotion Board, is now available at Fully Booked just in time for another year of traveling.
The 200-page hardbound volume is packed with a number of things to do in every tourist spot in the country, from surfing the waves in San Juan, La Union to lazing around the white-sand beaches in San Vicente, Palawan. Also highlighted are thrilling outdoor adventures, such as white-water rafting in Cagayan de Oro, riding the ATV around Mayon Volcano, and swimming with sea turtles around Apo Island.
"The Philippines is a bucket list destination because not a lot of other places in the world have a climate that urges you to spend quality time outdoors. We get so many bright and beautiful days that beg to be spent outside! It's almost a waste not to go out because our mountains, forests, islands, and beaches are always putting on a show," Camille Pilar, one of the writers for the book, tells SPOT.ph. She moved from Manila to La Union after falling in love with the waves at the Surfing Capital of the North in 2014.
With all the adventures it has laid out, this book will definitely get you going this year.
Bucket List Philippines (Eastgate Publishing, 2018) is available at Fully Booked for P2,500.
