Check out these 10 skincare brands available in Manila:
Drunk Elephant
They've only been around locally for less than a year but that hasn't stopped Drunk Elephant from making a ton of noise. The American beauty brand, known for its clean beauty philosophy, formulates their products without the Suspicious 6™ which are six harmful ingredients that prevent the skin from reaching its healthiest and most balanced state.
Drunk Elephant is available at LOOK Philippines branches, SM Makati, and SM Megamall.
Paula's Choice
One of the more recent additions to the local market, Paula's Choice is known to skincare afficionados as the brand to try especially if you want your skincare to be as scientific as it gets. They've been around since 1995 and use a no-frills approach when it comes to their product labelling—by that, we mean no fancy names can be found, instead the brand chooses to highlight the key ingredients and expected percentage contribution to the formula.
Paula's Choice is available at LOOK Philippines branches and online via Lazada.
Supergoop!
Not all sunscreens are made the same, with some even causing potential harm to the environment. However, that's not the case with Supergoop! The cruelty-free and coral reef-friendly brand is formulated with clean ingredients, making them a great option for those with sensitive skin. Plus, some of their products make for great makeup primers and does not have a white cast when applied—a fact that will be quite obvious with flash photography.
Supergoop! is available at LOOK Philippines branches and online via Lazada.
Dermalogica
You probably saw Dermalogica whenever you accompanied your mom or grandmom to Rustan's. The decades-old brand was founded by a skin therapist and is known for their professional-grade skincare products that aim to help combat acne and a variety of other skin concerns. One of its best-selling products, a powder exfolliant called the Daily Microfoliant, is gentle enough to be used on a regular basis, breaking off the stigma that constant exfoliation is a big no-no.
Dermalogica is available at LOOK Philippines branches, Rustan's, and online via Lazada.
Lancôme
A brand we never expected to make a comeback, Lancôme surprised skincare lovers when they suddenly appeared out of the blue on everyone's social media feeds. The brand is popular for its line of anti-aging products and has since been a regular fixture in the vanities of generational women. The French luxury beauty brand is also known for cosmetics and fragrances, as repped by A-list celebrities like Zendaya and Julia Roberts.
Lancôme is available on Lazada.
Clinique
Admit it, you've used a Clinique product at least once in your life. Having been around for decades (since 1968, in fact!), the brand might have inadvertently popularized the concept of skincare routines with their propriety 3-Step System which consists of three products aimed at cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturizing. Since then, Clinique has expanded to various other skincare lines with some targetting hydration and even color correction.
Clinique is available at LOOK Philippines, Rustan's, and online via Lazada.
The Unbranded Skincare
The only local brand on this list, The Unbranded Skincare was more or less a pandemic baby that answered its founders' realization that more and more people no longer had the time and energy to complete an arduous skincare regimen. The brand embraces a philosophy called skinimalism, which is basically a less-is-more approach and only has three product in its entire portfolio: a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen that can be mixed with other products and brands or used as a whole routine.
The Unbranded Skincare is available at The Beauty Bar and online via Lazada.
Clarins
One of the OG beauty brands out in the market, Clarins has been around since the '50s. Its product lines, with some reaching cult-fave status, is created with the idea of constant innovation thus ensuring that it keeps up with the skin concerns and needs of everyone. In fact, one of their best-selling products, the Double Serum has already gone through eight reformulations since its creation in 1985. These days they're also known for having their in-house spa, the Clarins Skin Spa, allowing you a bit of skin and body pampering all the while you get to know their varied range of products.
Clarins is available at Rustan's and online via Lazada.
La Mer
Without a doubt the most expensive brand on this list, La Mer is known for matching its eyebrow-raising price points with high efficacy. The U.S. brand has one of the world's most coveted moisturizers and those that are fortunate enough to be able to cop it regularly flock to Rustan's for a jar of two of the famous creme. Hey, if you can afford it, then go right ahead.
La Mer is available at Look Philippines, Rustan's and online via Lazada.

Known for its top-tier exfoliating products, First Aid Beauty is a dermatologist-backed brand that uses ingredients that are sensitive skin-friendly, making it great for daily or frequent use.
