(SPOT.ph) If you've been hanging out on TikTok a bit too much, chances are you've seen several videos about color analysis. Essentially a process where you try to determine what hues work best on you, this service gained popularity in South Korea. It's a service that takes not only your skin coloring into account, but the undertone, your hair texture, and even hair color, too—and while the most practical result is you learning what shades best to wear, there's more to it.
Color analysis is part of a bigger initiative, mainly with the goal of personality and image development. Ideally, it's done by a certified color consultant who has undergone various trainings and exams in order to be certified so if you think you can just figure out what color looks best on you by taking an online quiz, you may want to think twice.
If you think you need to book the next flight to Seoul just to try color analysis, exit that airline's website right now as the service is already in the Philippines. We got the chance to try it out with Ingrid Nieto-Pagulayan, an image and certified color consultant based in Manila who's been performing color analysis on clients even before the pandemic started.
