LOOK: The G-Shock x Titan 22 Limited Edition Watch Collab Is All for the Love of Ball

(SPOT.ph) Among G-Shock enthusiasts, the DW-5600 is both a staple and a modern classic known for its squared-off shape and Goldilocks size—not too big and not too small on the wrist. First released in 1987, the DW-5600 bears close resemblance to the very first G-Shock model, the legendary DW-5000C which came out in 1983.
Now for another history lesson. Titan opened its doors in 2010 as the first basketball specialty concept shop in the Philippines. The store was co-founded by Dennis Tan and star basketball player and coach Jeffrey Cariaso. At the time, despite being a basketball-loving country, there was no dedicated basketball concept store in the Philippines. Now better known as Titan 22, the store is the go-to in-store and online shop for premium basketball footwear, apparel, and accessories.

Meet the G-Shock x TITAN 22 limited edition watch collab
The Casio G-Shock x TITAN 22 DW-5600TIT23 is a limited edition collaboration and celebration of Titan 22’s “For Love of the Game” spirit. Printed on the watch face in subtle but elegant gold is the Titan 22 lightning fist logo on top with the brand's signature motto. Extending outwards the strap are the words “World Champion” printed on opposite sides in stealthy gloss black lettering with the lightning motif across the surface of the straps. Engraved on the backplate is the Titan 22 lightning logo with the motto as well as the founding year. Reflecting the logo’s metallic tone are the gold-tone pushers and strap buckle.
The matte texture of the case gives the watch a low-key vibe. The reverse display keeps the watch face highly readable and low-light viewing is made possible by a blue green electroluminescent backlight. On top of the regular timekeeping features such as time, day and date, you get the usual stopwatch, timer, flash alert, and alarm functionality.

The watch comes packed in a custom box and gold tin with Titan 22’s signature branding and logos. The DW-5600TIT23 retails at P8,500 in authorized G-Shock dealers. It's also available for purchase online at the official Titan 22 website.
