(SPOT.ph) Sex toys are no longer kept under the covers like they once were. People have become more open about using them, and buying them is now as easy as sliding into someone's DMs. But there's still a long way to go when it comes to destigmatizing female pleasure.
After just one step into Lauvette's warehouse and office in Kapitolyo, though, you'll immediately know that there's a big demand for it. (And that's not the only Big D we saw at the sex toy shop's HQ.)
In an interview with SPOT.ph, Lauvette's founder, Renz Rollorata-Schuster talks about the shop's best-selling toys, including their own line of dildos. She also recounts starting the brand as a 25-year-old lawyer, creating their own menstrual products, and working with advocacy groups.

Lauvette's Foreplay: How The Brand Started
As women already know, the build-up is important. You can start small—like how Renz started Lauvette from her condo unit. "It was a modest beginning with just my partner and me transforming our living room into a storage area and handling everything ourselves—from responding to customer messages to packing orders and marketing," she recalls.
Two years into it, they decided to amp things up and go beyond selling sex toys. They became what they call a "comprehensive sexual health and wellness hub." It felt like a natural shift for them. "We recognized the need to encompass a broader spectrum of intimate care, including menstrual care," she says. That's how they started their own brand called Hormony, which sells organic sanitary napkins and tampons.

The twosome has since grown into a bigger group. (No pineapples here, though. IYKYK.) "We've grown into a dedicated team of over 20 members, expanded our offerings to include over 1,000 diverse products, and launched our own brands," Renz says.Â
After making the move from Renz's condo, the FemTech company is now based in a two-story building that serves as their stockroom and office for their team.
Lauvette's Peak—and What Got Them There
Again, as women already know, it's not just about the quantity. It's about the quality, too. And Lauvette hits the spot with both.
Their in-house studio has giant storage boxes stacked on top of each other, all filled to the brim with vibrators and dildos in every size, shape, and color. The shelves in their stockroom are also lined with products you can only imagine—or can't even imagine. ("No babe, yours is perfect, the big ones hurt," so says the meme.)

Lauvette's Bestsellers
Among all the Vs and the Ds (vibrators and dildos), there are those that just get you there quicker. (IYKWIM.) Lauvette's five best-selling products in 2023 were the Lollipop Mini Vibrator (P99 from P150), Dakila Ryan Dildo (P766.50 from P1,095), Miss Rosy Clity Sucker (P945), Honey Sucking Panty Vibrator (P1,998), and the Satisfyer Pro 2+ Clit Sucker (P4,745).Â
Dakila Ryan Dildo, P766.50 (from P1,095), Lazada
Big Daddy 12-Inch Dildo, P3,250, Lazada and Shopee
The very realistic Ryan is part of Lauvette's in-house brand of dildos called Dakila. Seven-inch Ryan is part of the Boyfie collection along with nine(!)-inch Juan (P906.50 from P1,295). Though he's not a member (see what we did there?) of Dakila's Boyfie collection, 12-inch Big Daddy is definitely Big Dick Energy. (We were told it's sometimes used as decor, if you're still trying to wrap your head around it.)
Dakila Echo Dildo, P766.50 (from P1,095), Lazada
There are four more Dakila collections: Dragon, Ice, Artsy, and Galaxia. The rock-hard and rugged Dragon dildos, like the Echo, aren't for the faint of heart. But it might fit those who are used to angry sex with a situationship.
Ice dildos have frosty finishes, almost like glitter swirls with the bright colors. Artsy dildos have splashes of color and are named after Picasso and Da Vinci. The Galaxia collection might just send you out of this world with glow-in-the-dark features for those who prefer the lights off.Â
