Soul Stone Lucete can transform your beloved pet's ashes into precious soul stones.
Having worked in a pet animal service before, owners Yunki Cho and Ma. Concepcion Aquino has heard of the business of turning human or pet ashes into stones but only thought of pursuing it when their own pet passed on. They used to have an American bully named Champagne who went with them everywhere, "mapa-bundok man or mapa-dagat," Cho tells SPOT.ph.
"And then one day, nagpunta kami ng girlfriend ko sa dagat na madalas namin pinupuntahan pero parang ang laki ng kulang. Kasi hindi na namin kasama 'yung fur baby namin na lagi namin kasama before. Ang lungkot lang sobra...Sakit isipin lang na hindi 'man lang namin siya mahawakan ulit dahil abo na siya."
The thought of going into the business of turning a beloved's ashes into stone immediately came to mind, and that's when Cho started exploring the idea.
They were unsure at first, a little apprehensive about being the first to offer the service in the country. But they were reminded of someone who would carry an urn containing their fur baby's ashes on a stroller everywhere, and that's when Cho thought he should go for it.
"Doon po kasi pumasok sa isip ko talaga na may mga taong mahal na mahal nila baby nila but it's so sad na hindi na nila mahahawakan ulit," Cho shares. "Kaya hindi na po ako nag-dalawang isip, gusto ko magbigay ng kahit konting emotional support sa mga kapwa fur parents ko."
Soul Stone Lucete can turn your fur baby's ashes into beautiful gemstones. Think of it as your "last gift" to your departed friend, family, companion for many years.
According to Soul Stone Lucete, the process of transforming the ashes into stone was inspired by the transformative journey of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly. They use advanced technology in which they place the ashes into a single-use mold and meticulously craft them into "soul stones" or gemstones. The metamorphosis itself costs P44,998. Prices may vary depending on the customers.
The gemstones may vary in color depending on the specific elements present in the ashes. It can turn green, or even clear. Some rare colors include pink, blue, and yellow. The gemstones can then be incorporated into jewelry pieces like rings, earrings, bracelets, and necklaces—things you can easily hold on to when you need comfort. But you can also put the stone in a variety of other keepsakes.
This service can also be done to aquamated remains, which is a gentle and eco-friendly alternative to traditional cremation.
