(SPOT.ph) Earlier this year, Japanese retailer chain Nitori opened its first branch in BGC—followed by two other big ones in Glorietta and SM Mall of Asia, and the year hasn't even ended yet. Aside from Nitori, there's, of course, also the IKEA flagship store in Pasay that people can flock to for furniture finds since 2021.
It's time to add yet another spot where you can find anything for your home furnishing needs: Australia's most loved home and lifestyle brand Anko, which is also opening its first PH store in Manila. We spotted their board-up in Glorietta.

What is Anko?
Anko is an in-house brand of Kmart, which is a chain of retail stores in Australia and New Zealand that offers daily and on-trend essentials and necessities at affordable prices.
Introduced in 2019, Anko houses a wide range of home and lifestyle products, from home decor to storage, toys, beauty, pets, leisure, and fitness. The brand name is an acronym for "A New Kind Of", which came from the "&Co" or "& Company" branding that Kmart had. The "k" pays tribute to the "k" in Kmart.
What to shop from Anko?
Whether you're a first-time homeowner who is scouring for stuff for your new space (a condo, apartment, a whole house and lot, et cetera) or someone who likes to redecorate their space now and then, you'll find everything you want and need inside. Anko is known for having trendy, innovative, and functional products.
Think storage solutions, bedding, on-trend decor products, kitchen and bathroom essentials, and heck, even pet products. Of course, there will also classic furniture pieces at affordable prices that will transform your space into your dream home.
Anko in the Philippines
A huge Anko board-up was spotted in Glorietta, Makati, located on the ground level of Glorietta 2. This upcoming store, the brand's first-ever store in the Philippines, spans almost a few stores long across the open space.
The board-up, which also says, "Alam mo, bagay tayo!" announces their arrival in the country real soon. How soon is soon, you ask? This November soon. Yup, that's about a few weeks from now and just in time for the holiday season. It's the perfect spot to go to for your Christmas shopping—whether it's sprucing up your home for holiday gatherings or looking for practical gifts for your loved ones.
Anko is set to open in the country on the ground level of Glorietta 2, Palm Drive, Makati, Metro Manila. Again, it is set to open its doors in November, so keep your eyes peeled for more updates.
