(SPOT.ph) Three wonderful (and wallet-draining) months have flown by since POP MART came to Philippine shores last November. Fans of the popular blind boxes enjoyed three whole months of queues and budols at the SM Mall of Asia pop-up store. But the time has come; the pop-up's three-month run comes to an end as the store shuts its doors today, January 27. Don't worry, though. POP MART won't be gone for too long as they have also announced the opening of a new store soon. So you can give your wallets a break for now, but get ready for more exciting POP MART adventures ahead.

POP MART's pop-up in SM Mall of Asia is closed, but there's a new store opening soon
There's no time to feel sad about the pop-up in SM Mall of Asia closing because a brand new store is popping up soon. While a specific date and location haven't been announced yet, the POP MART Philippines Instagram page promises that we'll be seeing them "very soon."
We're crossing our fingers that it's going to be a permanent store, especially since Mr. Jeremy Lee, POP MART Southeast Asian Go-To Market Director hinted at "big plans coming up" for 2025 during an interview at the pop-up opening last year. Filipinos absolutely love anik-anik and blind boxes—Labubu, Hirono, DIMOO, Hacipupu, you name it—so a permanent POP MART store in the Philippines is long overdue. Let's see.
ICYDK, POP MART only has three global flagship stores: Shanghai, Taipei, and Seoul. They opened up more shops in the Southeast Asian region last year, one of which was the pop-up on the second floor of the North Entertainment Mall in SM Mall of Asia.
People flocked to the comment section to suggest or guess the next location of the POP MART store. Makati, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, SM Megamall in Mandaluyong, or SM North EDSA were popular choices. Some even hoped for a new store in SM Mall of Asia, where the POP MART pop-up just closed its doors. For now, we can only speculate and wait for the official announcement.
Here's a glimpse of the POP MART pop-up in SM Mall of Asia just in case you missed its three-month run:
