(SPOT.ph) If you love graphic tees and pop culture-inspired styles, you probably know that Uniqlo—and specifically their ever-updating UT line—is a great place to shop stylish statement shirts that don’t break the bank. One of their most recent releases was all about Marvel supeheroes like Spider-Man and Iron Man and they've also made apparel featuring anime such as Jujutsu Kaisen, celebrities like Billie Eilish, and fictional characters including Hello Kitty among many others. Now, following the MCU lineup, they’re putting the spotlight on another beloved character under the Disney umbrella, namely, the icon himself Mickey Mouse.
The new UT Mickey Stands collection features several casual T-shirts, each sporting the century-old cartoon in his signature pose. You know the one: arms behind his back, one leg sticking out with toes pointed upward, and that jolly old smile on the character's face. Each shirt reimagines that classic image of Mickey in a different art style be it a pencil-like illustration, a silhouette filled with stylized text, or an abstract floral image.
The line is a follow-up to the Monochrome Mickey Mouse Art Collection, which was unveiled in November 2021. Where that previous release was all about black-and-white color schemes and vintage illustrations, the Mickey Stands lineup has a little more color in its pieces and depicts the mouse in more modern art styles. Both, however, stay true to Uniqlo’s form-meets-function philosophy with designs that are relaxed, comfy, and versatile.
