Your journey to Ellsworth Cabin would begin with either a balsa boat ride across the river or a rough road adventure aboard a 4x4. This can vary depending on the weather condition during your visit; or if you're blessed with good weather, it can purely be up to your preference.Â

Either way, this quick adventure will bring you to the foot of the property, where after a short climb up some steps, you'll finally be greeted by your home away from home. But don't rush inside the cabin, take the chance to take in the scenery. Enjoy the serene and picture-perfect views of the area.Â

Entering the cabin might trigger some of you to question whether you really are in a remote and secluded property in Rizal or if you've been teleported elsewhere. With its modern sensibilities, luxe interiors, and high-tech features, the cabin gives you the glamorous five-star forest lodging experience that you would expect from top-tier vacation spots abroad.Â

Ellsworth Cabin is a sustainable and eco-friendly accommodation. It is purely solar-powered with a backup generator on the off chance that power runs out. It's well-ventilated and well-lit thanks to the many floor-to-ceiling windows and skylights, but it also gives you the option to use air-conditioning should the tropical weather might prove too hot for you to handle, especially during the summer. The water used in the property also comes from the clean river, so the staff at the cabin would ask you to exercise mindful usage. A stay at Ellsworth Cabin is a lesson in the balance between respecting the beauty of nature and still remaining comfortable with the luxuries of modern living.Â

The cabin can comfortably house up to 15 guests at a time. By default, there are two main sleeping arrangements, a big master's bed on the loft or a dorm-style bunk bed. Should your group need more beds, there are foam mattresses that can be set up all around.Â

There's also a fully-equipped kitchen that guests can use to prep meals, or if you're in full vacation mode, you can also pre-order meals for your stay.Â

In terms of things to do while at Ellsworth Cabin, guests can enjoy the entertainment system in the cabin, play board games, or simply chill while surfing the web. But you're here to reconnect with nature, right? So we say skip the Internet and TV and enjoy the many available nature activities at your disposal. A stay at Ellsworth Cabin comes with free use of adult and child-sized fishing poles, a free horseback riding experience, archery lessons, and a lazy-river experience on the property's inflatable raft. And while there's no private pool at the moment, you can swim in the pristine waters of Tinipak River.

Ready your Smore's-making kits because the stay also comes with a bonfire setup that you can enjoy at night. Sit around the campfire, exchange scary stories, and just revel in the beauty of nature under the twinkling stars. Heck, you could even go stargazing here at night, especially with the unpolluted night sky.Â
