(SPOT.ph) Alabang has always been known for its relaxed pace, but even so, many dining establishments are already open early in the morning to attend to the breakfast and brunch crowd. On any given day, most especially on weekends, you'll see these early-morning risers in this part of town looking for a place to grab a meal and coffee, be it at Molito, Alabang Town Center (a.k.a. Town), or Filinvest.

Brunch Bureau

The name says it all. Brunch Bureau is a two-story brunch spot inside the Molito complex with a Build Yo' Brunch (price starts at P490) menu. This personalized brunch meal lets you choose from the main dish options which are the Classic Trio, Flaked Salmon Melt, Pork Mojo, Chicken Krapow, and our personal favorite, the Loco Moco. The DIY aspect comes in as you have the freedom to choose between a sunny side up or a scrambled egg, and coffee, tea, or juice for your drink.

Bungalow Café

Bungalow's known for its pastries and desserts, but one shouldn't miss out on their all-day breakfast fare. This dainty store inside Molito serves stacks of thick, over-the-top pancakes such as the Blueberry Ricotta Pancakes. For those who love rice, the Pineapple Glazed Belly—think like a sweetened version of adobo, with scrambled egg on the side, is your best bet.

Bean & Yolk

Remember Bean & Yolk in Poblacion? It's moved down south, at Westgate Center. This is one of the few spots at Westgate Center that opens early enough for the breakfast crowd to have a meal during actual breakfast time. When at Bean & Yolk, you can go for a lighter breakfast with their Churros that come with an Auro chocolate dip, but for a quintessential Filipino breakfast, they have a B&Y Tapa Bowl with grass-fed tapa as the main protein, then served with soft-poached egg, atsara, tomatoes, and rice.

Exchange Alley Coffee House

Although people go to Exchange Alley Coffee House for their coffee, this coffee shop has a well-thought-out menu of dishes you can order for breakfast, alongside their coffee. Our favorite on the menu is the Three-Cheese Toastie that's served with tomato soup and potato chips—bar none. But if you want something heavier, more breakfast-appropriate than merienda, they do have Breakfast Pasta that's topped with egg, bacon, and mushrooms.

Sobra Café

Got a thing for tapsilog? Sobra Café, owned by celebrity David Licauco, is known for its rice bowl, aptly called the Tapa Sobra. This hefty breakfast bowl has a well-marinated, fork-tender slice of sweet ribeye, mushroom, and egg, placed over a mountain of garlic rice. If you want to try their other bestsellers that's brekky-appropriate, go for the Ribeye Salpicao.

Many cyclists stop by Southbank after sweating it out on the road and the nearby bike trails on weekends. Most of them go here for the coffee, but a handful also grab a table and order their order something from their all-day-breakfast menu. Our tried-and-tested recommendations include the Shakshuka, Chilli Crab Scrambled Eggs, and Pulled Pork Benedict.

To the relief of titas and titos of Alabang, Wildflour finally opened a branch within the Alabang neighborhood in early 2023. As you peruse the breakfast menu, you'll notice that most of their dishes use grains and breads. Our recommendations for each are as follows: The no-brainer Kimchi Fried Rice and the Pistachio Oatmeal.
